House of Unified Minds and Modalities

HUMM is a soulful, welcoming house for healing, connection, creativity and community, created with intention, warmth and a deep belief in the power of shared space.

How HUMM began

HUMM was founded by Sharon, a soul-centred psychotherapist, psychosomatic therapist and sound healing facilitator. It grew from a simple vision: to ground the work of healing in a physical place. A space where practitioners could work in rooms that feel as considered as their practice, and where people could gather and connect.

The name says what the house is for. HUMM stands for the House of Unified Minds and Modalities: therapists, healers and facilitators from different traditions working side by side, learning from each other, and sharing a home.

It is also the sound at the centre of it all. The steady hum of a singing bowl, the low note of a gong, the easy murmur of the café upstairs.

The building

HUMM lives in a heritage building at 144 St Kilda Road, brought back to life across three levels. The original shopfront now holds the café, the upper floor has become four healing rooms, and the basement has been transformed into a studio for yoga, meditation and sound.

The fitout is quiet on purpose: limewashed walls, travertine, timber, brass and velvet, chosen to soften the light and slow everything down.
